And now, a word from Rat Face:

Yep, it’s true: the art is done and scanned, and tomorrow I start coloring the book!
Will post some colored pages as soon as possible.

I just posted this over at the Drawing Board and thought I’d do the same here:

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this guy, he was the anti-hero main character from the excellent Mister X comic book, one of my favorite stories of all time (drawn by the Hernandez brothers and Seth back in the 80’s and scripted by Dean Motter). Mister X had a bigger impact on me than The Dark Knight and The Watchmen combined (although I do like those books, too).
Anyway, here’s to the greatest sleep-deprived character of all time… Mister X!

Yeah, so here’s them finished pages I promised:

I’ll post some more soon. Until then, happy reading (you’ll have to fill in the word bubbles yourself, I’m afraid)!

This morning I was invited to talk about comic books in my oldest son’s kindergarten class… I had a really good time. We talked about what comics (bandes dessinées) are, I showed them some of my pages from thumbnails to finishes, then I drew a four-panel story about this little raccoon character I made up. Then the kids sat down and each of them came up with their own comic story.

I won’t be winning any Eisners or anything with this, but it was lots of fun and a nice change from the typical stuff I usually draw.
Aaand speaking of the typical stuff I usually draw, I only have two pages left to do and Paranormal is DONE. At least, the art is. Then I need to get started on the colors… but that will undoubtedly go a lot faster than drawing has. Will publish some finished pages soon.
And I mean that.
